Electrodialysis

The Power of Electrodialysis Reversal

Electrodialysis has long been known as an effective technology to desalinate brackish water sources. But it’s never had a membrane partner that could supercharge its efficiency.

Now, thanks to Membrion’s first-of-its-kind flexible ceramic membrane, electrodialysis can now recycle water sources that are otherwise trucked offsite, evaporated, or chemically precipitated at a dramatically reduced cost.

Membrion has created the first ion exchange membrane that operates in pH levels below 1 and temperatures above 60° C (140°F).

How Does It Work?

Like every other desalination system, feed water is transformed into permeate and concentrate. Electrodialysis systems use electricity to move ions out of the permeate stream and into the concentrate stream.

Give us a sample of the industrial wastewater you want to recycle, and we’ll show you how you can recover more clean water and use less electricity in to maximize the profit in every drop of water you use.
